Whether you’re heading off for a weekend in a European capital or an adventure on the other side of the world, one thing’s for sure: your beauty routine never goes on holiday. Traveling light doesn’t mean giving up self-care, though. In this article, I’m taking you inside my travel beauty bag: here are the products I always pack — the ones that survive jet lag, tropical climates, and quick airport showers.

Minimal but effective skincare

When I travel, the key word is essentials — but never at the expense of quality.

  • Face Cleanser – Compact, sustainable, no-leak, and hydrating. My favorite is Swisscare.
  • Hydrating Toner Spray – Perfect to refresh on a flight or after a day in the sun. I switch this one up often.
  • Oil-Control Serum – For glowing skin even after sleepless nights or long-haul flights. My go-to is Masqmai’s Oil Control Booster.
  • Moisturizer & Multi-Tasker – Lightweight yet nourishing, with SPF. My dermatologist-recommended pick (for mild acne) is Pharcos Liposkin Cream, which also doubles as a primer.

Sunscreen is non-negotiable

La regola n.1 in viaggio (e nella vita): mai dimenticare la protezione solare!

Rule number one when traveling (and in life): never forget sunscreen!

Travel makeup: simple but glow-boosting

My makeup routine gets simpler on the road, but I never skip a luminous touch.

  • Blush – Always MAC.
  • Waterproof Mascara – To withstand humidity or spontaneous swims. Banana Beauty Volume Up is perfect.
  • Tinted Lip Balm – Hydration with a hint of color. Masqmai Perfect Lip Gloss in Vanilla Honey and Cherry Pie are my favorites.
  • Classic Lip Balm – A travel must-have.

Haircare in travel size

Travel can be tough on hair — think sun, wind, chlorine… Here’s my rescue kit:

Smart beauty tools

  • Clear Travel Bag – TSA-approved and stylish; I love Truffle’s transparent cases.
  • Waterproof Pouch – To avoid leaks in your suitcase, I always store liquids in a sturdy bag.

Extra tips from a digital nomad

Having spent months abroad living out of a suitcase, I’ve learned that less is more. Invest in multi-purpose products, smart travel sizes, and don’t forget mental comfort: taking care of yourself while traveling makes you feel at home anywhere.
